Academic Experience, Work Fields, and Teaching
I have been a scholar as a faculty member for 23 years. From 2003 until 2016 I was ranked as an Associate Professor, and I became Full Professor in 2016. I have been tenured since 2004. I obtained a bachelor’s degree and a Ph.D in linguistics, but I work in several fields: business and professional communication, discourse analysis, rhetoric, scientific writing and peer review practices, innovation and entrepreneurship discourse. My didactic and teaching strategies have been evaluated as being inspiring and useful by graduate and undergraduate students.
Research Funds, Publications and Networks
I have authored and co-authored, several international peer reviewed research articles (from 2002 onwards) which have been produced thanks to public and competitive research grants (since 2009). I have international networks in close collaboration with outstanding scholars in prestigious educational and research institutions.
Policies, Service to Society and Administration
I have collaborated with policies at the national level in the field of science and humanities, and I have been selected to be part of the Initial Research Group in the national scientific funding agency. I am a member of the promotion, and the research committee at a faculty and at an institutional level. I am recognized as being a good leader, mentor, and colleague. I have headed the Arts and Letters Department since 2019. Since 2009, I have served as the Editor in Chief of Revista Logos an international scientific journal in my field. In 2017-2021, I coordinated a team of faculty members to develop our Master in Discourse Studies, which was launched in 2021 under my leadership.
